11/21/2023 0 Comments Boosted board 2 vs inboard m1*Evolve: Worst acceleration curve (made worse by a twitchy remote), but by far the fastest accelerating out of the bunch. EDIT: Acceleration curve is very akin to starting a car in 6th gear now that I think of it. A redeeming quality is that acceleration picks up with speed which is useless in a commuting environment. Don't know if an app release will fix this, but this board is unusable in a stop/go, urban environment unless you don't mind pushing up to speed every single time to start. You'll get better standstill acceleration from a 400W outboard single drive motor - by a longshot. Even jamming the throttle on advanced mode with a full battery and you barely start moving. *M1: WOW starting from a standstill was just absolutely APPALLING. Plenty of power when you need it and smooth delivery. *BB: Very smooth acceleration curve and overall the best balance out of all the boards. But if you get really good at staying vertical and can really put your weight into turning, you can make it turn on a dime (takes more skill to turn fast compared to the other two boards) - carving on these trucks is the best out of the 3 boards (no surprise there). ![]() *Evolve: At first, the turning radius seems a lot wider due to the double carve trucks. Carving is the worst on this board as you can imagine due to no flex. *M1: Turning is also pretty standard, easier for newer riders because the deck is so stiff. *BB: Pretty standard although turning for new riders can be tricky because the board is so bouncy. Wheels feel pretty standard, nothing special there. ![]() It's a good middle ground between the other two. *Evolve: You feel some flex in the deck but it does not bounce at all. Sharp turns at high speed over uneven pavement gets dicey with such a stiff deck. It makes for an interesting ride because you feel every crevice in the road from the stiff deck, but it's somewhat muted from the softness of the wheels. *M1: The deck is VERY stiff, but the wheels are surprisingly soft. Wheels feel standard and similar to the stock wheels on the Evolve just slightly smaller for bumps and cracks - nothing exciting there. *BB: Most flex in the deck (very bouncy), can be daunting for first time riders at high speeds though, otherwise extremely comfortable. I'll try and keep it as objective as possible: The Evolve model is the Bamboo GT w/street wheels (Stock 83mm). (Yes I am new and this is my first post, but I've been lurking on the channel for quite some time before actually creating an account - never bothered to comment until I could contribute information). I thought providing perspective between all three options would be great for those of you who are waiting for delivery or are in the decision making process. So I've finally had a chance to ride all of these boards for a considerable amount of time and actually own one of them.
